INGREDIENTS:

  1. Fish - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Chili powder - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Coriander powder - 5 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Lemon - 1
  6. -- Roast and powder --
    1. Black pepper - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Dry chili - 4
    3. Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    4. Spit bengal gram - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
    5. Spit black gram - 3 teaspoon (tsp.(
    6. Curry leaf - 8
  7. Oil - 1/4 cup
  8. Salt - as needed.

PREPARATION:

  1. Squeeze lemon juice. add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt as needed and make a paste. Add this paste to the fish and mix well. Marinate this for 1 hour.
  2. Dry roast the ingredients under "-- Roast and powder --" and grind them into a fine powder.
  3. Coat marinated fish pieces with the roasted powder on both sides and keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet. Place the fish on the skillet and fry them both side to golden brown and serve. NOTE: adjust the flame for better result.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with sambar rice, korma or by itself.
  2. For better result fry in batches.
