INGREDIENTS:

  1. Boiled Egg - 4
  2. Shallot (sambar onion) - 5
  3. Black pepper - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Turmeric powder -  a pinch
  6. Curry leaf - 1 sprig
  7. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut the boiled egg vertically into 2 halves.
  2. Grind shallot, black pepper, cumin seed, turmeric powder, curry leaf into fine thick paste.
  3. Coat the half egg with the paste without breaking the yolks. NOTE: you can remove the yolk apply the paste and place the yolk back as well. Marinate this for an hour.
  4. Heat a skillet coated with oil. Now place the halved egg in a row. Simmer and cook these both sides until the raw smell is gone and browed well.
