Karaikudi chicken recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken (cut into small pieces) - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Dry chili (broken into small pieces) - 10
  3. Finely chopped Onion - 100 grams
  4. Finely chopped Garlic - 4 cloves
  5. Finely chopped Ginger - 1 inch
  6. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) or as needed.
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Oil - 1/4 cup.

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in the pan. Add onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  2. Now add the dry chili and sauté for few minutes.
  3. Now add the ginger, garlic and sauté until raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add the chicken. Mix and cook without adding too much water. You can sprinkle water if needed. NOTE: Chicken has water it will release them.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked. NOTE: make sure no or very less water left.
  6. Add salt as needed, black pepper sauté for few minutes and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with white rice.
