Fried chicken gravy recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Thinly sliced onion - 4
  3. Chopped tomato - 4
  4. Chili powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Cinnamon stick - 2 pieces
  9. Clove - 3
  10. Chopped coriander leaf - 20
  11. -- For making powder --
    1. Black pepper - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Fennel seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    4. Coriander seed - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    5. Cinnamon stick - 4 inch
    6. Cardamom - 3
  12. Salt - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry roast all the ingredients under the section " For making powder" and grind into a fine powder. NOTE: roast the first coriander seed for 2 minutes and then add rest of the ingredients and roast them.
  2. Marinate 30 minutes chicken by adding 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) ginger paste, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) garlic paste, 1 teaspoon (tsp.) chili powder, 1/4 turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  3. Heat 1/4 cup of oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken and keep it aside.
  4. In the same oil you fried the chicken; add onion and fry until it turns golden brown.
  5. Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, rest of the ginger paste, garlic paste and sauté until raw smell is gone.
  6. Now add the tomato and cook until oil separates.
  7. Now add the fried chicken; mix well and cook. Then add the ground roasted powder and mix well.
  8. Now add the coriander leaves, 1/4 cup of water, salt to taste and bring to boil. Cook until the raw smell is gone and serve. (takes about 7 - 10 minutes)
