Chicken vermicelli breakfast recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Vermicelli - 1 cup or 200 grams
  2. Ground chicken - 100 grams
  3. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Finely chopped onion - 1
  5. Finely chopped tomato - 1
  6. Slit green chili - 2
  7. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Garlic - 3 cloves
  9. Yogurt or curd - 4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  10. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Coriander leaf - 10
  13. Mint - 6
  14. Oil - 4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  15. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Now add onion and sauté until it turns translucent (golden brown).
  2. Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
  3. Now add the ground chicken and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Now add the tomato and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Now add chili powder, green chili, yogurt or curd, garlic, coriander leaves, mint leaves, garam masala powder, salt as needed and sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Now sprinkle water. Simmer and cook for 5 minutes by placing a lid. Time to time stir to avoid burning. Cook this until oil starts to separate.
  7. Now add 1 1/2 cup or 300 milliliter of water and bring to boil.
  8. Now add the vermicelli, mix well. Reduce the heat to medium. Simmer and cook for 5 minutes or until the vermicelli is cooked. 
  9. Before you remove from heat (stove), add the lemon juice mix well and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Instead of ground chicken you can use mutton but the mutton has to be pressure cooked before used as substitute for chicken.
