Chicken pepper chops recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken pieces - 1/2 Kilogram
  2. Chopped Onion - 2
  3. Chopped Tomato - 2
  4. Garlic cloves - 5
  5. Ginger - a small piece
  6. Black Pepper powder -1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  7. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  8. Cinnamon - 1
  9. Clove - 2
  10. Curry leaves - 5  or 6 Sprig
  11. Curd or lemon juice (optional) - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  12. Oil - 2 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  13. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind ginger and garlic to a fine thick paste by adding little water as possible.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cinnamon stick, cloves. After few second add onion and sauté until they become translucent (golden brown)
  3. Now add the ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone and oil starts to separates.
  4. Now add the chopped tomato and sauté until oil separates.
  5. Now add the chicken pieces, black pepper powder, coriander powder, curry leaves, salt and sauté until the chicken changes color to light golden brown.
  6. Now add 1/2 glass of water. Place a lid ; simmer and cook until the chicken is cooked and the right consistency is reached to your preference. NOTE: Stir time to time to ovoid burning.
  7. If you prefer add curd or lemon juice at the end cook for a while and then serve.
