Chicken oats congee recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Oats - 1 cup
  2. Bone less chicken pieces - 50 grams
  3. Thick coconut milk - 1/2 cup
  4. Finely chopped onion - 1
  5. Finely chopped tomato - 1
  6. Chopped green chili - 2
  7. Chopped Small carrot - 1
  8. Chopped Green beans - 5
  9. Chopped Coriander leaf - 15
  10. Chopped Mint leaf - 15
  11. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch piece
  12. Clove - 2
  13. Cardamom - 1
  14. Biryani masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  15. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  16. Fennel powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  17. Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  18. Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  19. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  20. Oil - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  21. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. In a pan heat oil. Now add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom sauté for 30 second.
  2. Now add onion, green chili, mint leaf and sauté until the onion turns translucent (golden brown)
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add turmeric powder, biryani masala powder and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Now add tomato and sauté until oil separates.
  6. Now add the chicken pieces, black pepper powder, cumin seed powder, fennel seed powder, salt, carrot, green beans, 1 1/2 cup of water. Boiling and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Now add the oats and cook them by stirring time to time until they are cooked well.
  8. Once the oats is cooked well add coconut milk, coriander leaves.
  9. Mix well and serve.
