INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken - 1/4 kilogram
  2. Sliced Onion - 2
  3. Chopped Tomato - 1
  4. Slit Green chili - 2
  5. Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Cumin seed powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Fennel seed powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  13. Coriander leaf - 10 or from 2 stalk (stem)
  14. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  15. Oil - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
  16. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Cook the chicken as dry as possible (no liquid) by adding water as needed, ginger paste, garlic paste, 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) black pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) cumin seed powder, fennel powder. NOTE: chicken by itself will release water so be careful when you adding water.
  2. In a pan heat oil, now add cinnamon stick, onion, green chili and cook until the onion turns translucent (golden brown).
  3. Now add the rest of ginger garlic paste and cook until raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add rest of the turmeric powder, chili powder, black pepper powder, cumin seed powder and sauté.
  5. Now add the cooked chicken, lemon juice and mix well until the chicken is coated well.
  6. Place a lid. Simmer and cook for 10 minutes (or until oil separates) and serve.
