Butter chicken recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Boneless chicken meat - 1/2 kg or 1 lb
  2. Unsalted butter - 75 grams or 3/4 butter stick
  3. Hot chilly powder - 2 table spoon
  4. Ginger paste - 1 table spoon
  5. Garlic paste - 1 table spoon
  6. Big onion - 1
  7. Big ripe tomatoes - 2
  8. Cashew (optional) - 10
  9. Yogurt or Curd - 2 table spoon
  10. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  11. Green cardamom - 2
  12. Cloves - 2
  13. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut the boneless chicken into 1 inch cubes
  2. In a bowl marinate (mix) the chicken with yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt for 1 hour
  3. Skin the tomatoes after dipping them into boiling hot water for few seconds
  4. Heat a pan add a small portion for butter, when melted add the onions, cashew and fry them until onion become golden brown
  5. In a blender, add the skinned tomatoes, fried onions and cashews and grind them to a fine paste
  6. In a pan add rest of the butter when almost melted add crushed green cardamom, cinnamon stick and cloves
  7. after 2-3 min add the boneless chicken cubes and cook for 5 min ( stir while cooking), then add the (onions, cashew and tomato) grinded paste
  8. Add water if necessary and cook until the meat is done and the thinness you like.
