INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken - 3/4 kilogram
  2. Chopped onion - 1 cup
  3. Chopped tomato - 1 cup
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Green chili - 2
  6. Yogurt or curd - 1/2 cup
  7. Lemon juice - little
  8. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Salt - as needed
  11. -- For Tempering --
    1. Dry chili - 4
    2. Achari Masala Powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Mustard Oil or Oil - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan. add dry chili, achari massla powder sauté for few second (do not burn this).
  2. Now add onion, salt and sauté until this turn translucent (golden brown).
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste; once the raw smell is gone; add tomato, green chili and sauté until the tomato becomes mushy.
  4. Now add the yogurt, chili powder and mxi well.
  5. Now add chicken pieces, lemon juice, 1/2 cup of water. Place a lid and cook the chicken until it reaches your thickness preference and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with pilaf, chapatti
