Beef pakoda recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Beef - 1/4 kilogram
  2. Egg - 2
  3. Yogurt or curd - 1/2 cup
  4. Gram flour - 1/2 cup
  5. Finely chopped Onion - 1
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Cumin seed powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Salt - as needed
  12. Oil - to shallow fry
  13. Red color (optional) - a pinch

PREPARATION:

  1. Chop beef into small pieces (1 inch cubes).
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) black pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) cumin powder, 1 teaspoon (tsp.) of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) of turmeric powder, salt, little water to the beef and cook the beef until all the water is evaporated. Cool the beef to room temperature.
  3. Grind the cooked cooled down beef coarsely in a blender (mixer).
  4. Now to the ground beef add yogurt or curd, gram flour, egg, salt, red color powder, chili powder, rest of the turmeric powder, black pepper powder, cumin seed powder, ginger garlic paste and mix well.  Keep this aside for an hour.
  5. Now add the onion and mix well. if its too thick you can add very little yogurt or curd.
  6. Heat oil in a pan, drop small pieces of the beef deep fry them to golden brown in batches and serve.
