Wheat rava payasam (kheer) recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Wheat rava - 1/2 cup
  2. Coconut milk - 3 cup
  3. Brown sugar or jaggery - 1/4 cup
  4. Ghee - 2 tablespoon (tbsp)
  5. Cashews - 6
  6. Raisins - 5
  7. Cardamom - 2

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry fry the wheat rava in a pan, make sure it does not burn. (golden brown). Keep it aside.
  2. Melt the butter, fry the cashews, raisins until raisins turn plump.
  3. Now crush and add cardamom and cook for 30 sec.
  4. Add the coconut milk and bring to boil.
  5. Add the wheat rava, simmer and cook until the rava is cooked and the right thickness is reached.
