Vermicelli payasam recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Vermicelli - 100 grams
  2. Sugar - as needed (150 grams)
  3. Maida flour - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Cashew - 10
  5. Raisins - 10
  6. Cardamom - 3
  7. Fresh thick coconut milk - 1 cup
  8. Ghee - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Salt - a pinch

PREPARATION:

  1. Dissolve maida flour in 5 teaspoon (tsp.) of water.
  2. In a pan melt butter. Add cashew, raisins and roast until the raisins bump up.
  3. Now add the vermicelli and roast it to until turns brown.
  4. Now add 2 cup of water, sugar, salt and boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Now add the maida flour and continue boiling. After boiling for few minutes add coconut milk and bring to boil for few minutes. Once vermicelli is cooked and the right thickness is achieved then serve.
