Ragi peanut laddu recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Ragi flour - 2 cup
  2. Jaggery - 3/4 cup
  3. Roasted peanut - 1 cup
  4. Roasted Sesame seed - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  5. Ghee - little
  6. Salt - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind the jaggery to powder and keep it aside.
  2. In a bowl add ragi flour, salt, water as needed and make dough like you do for chapatti. Now make chapatti or roti (it might break when you flip its ok) out of the dough by coating the skillet with ghee. Cool this to room temperate and break into small pieces .
  3. Add 1/2 of the ragi chapatti pieces and grind to fine coarse and keep it aside. Now add the rest of the ragi chapatti pieces, roasted peanut and grid to coarse.
  4. In a bowl add the ragi powder, jaggery, roasted sesame seeds and mix well.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) of ghee and make few laddu's. i.e. make balls out of the ragi powder.

NOTES:

  1. Cooking time: 20 minutes
  2. Stays fresh for a week.
  3. Instead of jaggery you can use brown or coconut sugar.
