Dates and nuts laddu recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Seedless Dates - 20
  2. Cashew nut + almond + pistachio - 1 cup
  3. Ghee - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry roast the nuts for 1 to 2 minutes. Grind this coarsely in a mixer.
  2. In a mixer grind well the dates with out adding any water.
  3. Heat ghee in pan. Now add the ground dates and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Now add nuts and mix well and cook for one more minute and remove from heat.
  5. Once cool down to room temperature (takes about 5 minutes) make these into balls (laddu). NOTE: while making balls you can add little oil or ghee. this will prevent laddu sticking to your hand.

NOTES:

  1. Cooking time: 10 minutes.
  2. Nuts ratio can be Cashew 1/3 : almond 1/3 : pistachio 1/3 of a cup.
