INGREDIENTS:

  1. Tapioca Sago (javvarisi) - 1 cup
  2. Sugar - 3/4 cup
  3. Ghee - as needed
  4. Milk - 1/4 cup
  5. Cardamom powder - a needed
  6. Food color (optional) - a pinch
  7. Nuts (cashew, ...) - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak tapioca sago (javvarisi) in water for 4 hours. Drain water and keep it aside.
  2. In a pan add milk and bring to boil. Now add soaked tapioca sago (javvarisi) and stir for 2 minutes while it cooks.
  3. Now add cardamom powder, food color and mix well.
  4. Now add sugar and mix well until the sugar is melted.
  5. Now add ghee as required and cook until the kesari thickness and ghee starts to separate. add roasted nuts in ghee. Remove the kesari and serve.

NOTES:

  1. If you don't like milk just water in enough.
