Agar agar jelly recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Agar agar (Chinese glass) - 50 grams
  2. Sugar - as needed (75 grams)
  3. Food color (optional) - a pinch
  4. Egg - 1
  5. Fresh thick coconut milk - 1/2 cup
  6. Vanilla essence - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak agar agar in 1/2 liter of water for 30 minutes.
  2. Beat egg and coconut milk well.
  3. Boil and cook the soaking agar agar until it dissolved.  Now add the sugar and cook it until dissolved.
  4. Remove 3/4 of agar agar and drain all the liquid then add food coloring quickly and mix well.
  5. To the remaining boiling agar agar, add the coconut milk mixture and boil until curds form .
  6. Now add the filtered agar agar to the curds agar agar. Mix well and cool it down to room temperature.
  7. Now cut the cool down agar agar jelly into shapes you like.
  8. Place the agar agar jellies in refrigerator for 30 minutes or more and serve.
