Beetroot halwa recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Beetroot - 1/2 kilograms
  2. Sugar - 300 grams
  3. Ghee - 100 grams
  4. Dalda - 50 grams
  5. Milk - 1/2 liter
  6. Raisins - 5 grams
  7. Cashew nuts - 10 grams
  8. Red food coloring (optional) - a few drops

PREPARATION:

  1. Clean and grate the beetroot.
  2. Cook the grated beetroot in milk until they are cooked.
  3. Now add the sugar and mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Now add the ghee, dalda, food coloring and cook until halwa (ghee separates) reached.
  5. In a separated pan melt ghee. roast the cashews to golden brown, raisins until they plump and add to halwa and serve.
