INGREDIENTS:

  1. Maida Flour  - 3/4 Cup
  2. Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Well Ripened banana - 2
  5. Sugar - 1/4 Cup
  6. Oil - 1/4 cup
  7. Vanilla essence - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Walnut - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Sift Maida flour + Baking powder + Baking soda 2 to 3 times so they mix well.
  2. Make puree with banana in a mixer. Now add to this sugar, oil, vanilla essence and beat well in the mixer.
  3. Now add this puree to the sift flour and mix well without any lumps.
  4. In small baking pan. Coat with little oil. Now dust little Maida flour. Now pour the cake batter and spread even. NOTE: Tap 2 or 3 times the bottom of the pan on table top so it removes excess air bubbles.
  5. Pre heat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit and bake the cake for 15 to 18 minutes or until its cooked. NOTE: It is easy to check a cake for doneness by using the toothpick test. Just stick a toothpick into the center of your cake or cupcake. If there is wet batter still on the toothpick, it needs more time in the oven. If it comes out clean, your cake is done!

NOTES:

  1. Preparation time: 25 to 30 minutes.
  2. Instead of Maida flour you can use All purpose flour.
